I write because life has taught me that some of our greatest lessons come from the things we never would have chosen for ourselves. I know what it feels like to have people underestimate you, to lose people you love, and to wonder what comes next. But I also know what it feels like to build something again, to laugh again, to dream again, and to discover that there may still be another chapter waiting for you. I picked this book up not knowing quite what to expect, and honestly, I was surprised by how much it drew me in. The atmosphere is haunting and the castle feels like a character all on its own. Elara is the kind of heroine I love, controlled and sharp, refusing to break even when everything around her is designed to test her limits. The writing is poetic and immersive, and while it is definitely intense and not for everyone, there is something strangely beautiful about the way the story unfolds. If you enjoy dark, gothic romance with a slow burn and a lot of tension, this one will stay with you.

The Duke’s Veiled Obsession pulled me from the beginning. The combination of mystery and romance, along with the tension between the characters, it's keeps up invested around what's going to happen next. I liked the mystery surrounding the Duke and that Elara never lost herself to everything happening around her and I also like that she made her own decisions. If you like darker romantic mysteries, you'll really like this book.

This book pulled me in from the very beginning! The castle was a very cool aspect of the story and flet like it was alive along with you while reading. My jaw was on the floor and I was staring at the wall at times due to the plot twists. And the scorching romance and spice was top tier! Would recommend to my book club.

The Duke’s Veiled Obsession by Anthony Biren, Mm Mm Mm, when you crave a dark kind of dark, atmospheric romance that makes you feel like the castle itself is breathing over your shoulder woooohhhhhh!!!!, the thrills. From the moment Elara Voss receives a mysterious invitation to Velmora Keep, the story pulls readers such as myself into a world of fog, black stone, psychological tests, dangerous attraction, and one unsettling Duke. Honestly, if a driverless carriage appeared in the snow for me, I would be calling everybody I know, not climbing inside! 😂

The Bride Who Forgot the Monster pulls you into its dark, gothic atmosphere from the very beginning, even if that beginning feels a bit disorienting at first. But honestly, that initial confusion is part of what makes the experience so compelling. You wake up right alongside the main character, who has no idea where she is, what’s real, or who she can trust. The story skillfully mirrors her uncertainty, drawing you deeper into the mystery as she tries to piece everything together. Rather than being frustrating, it creates a sense of intrigue that keeps you turning the pages.

This book completely pulled me into its world from the very first pages. The Bride Who Forgot the Monster blends gothic atmosphere with dark romantasy in a way that feels immersive, eerie, and emotionally charged without losing momentum as a thriller. What stood out most to me was the tone, which is lush, moody, and unsettling in the best way. The story leans heavily into mystery and memory loss, which keeps you constantly questioning both the protagonist’s reality and the truth behind the so-called “monster.” There is a strong sense of tension throughout, like something is always just out of reach or waiting to be revealed.

This book leans hard into that moody, gothic romantasy vibe where nothing is quite what it seems—and neither is the love story at its center. From the opening pages, it builds a thick atmosphere of mystery, lost memories, and a dangerous kind of attraction that feels equal parts irresistible and unsettling. The “forgotten bride” concept works really well here. The main character waking up with gaps in her memory creates constant tension—you’re never fully sure who to trust, especially when the “monster” she’s tied to is written with layers instead of being purely evil or purely romantic. That moral grayness is really the heart of the story.

Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison is the perfect cozy romance for anyone who loves small-town charm, heartfelt friendships, and a slow-burn love story. The chemistry between the main characters develops naturally, making the friends-to-lovers romance feel authentic and deeply satisfying. The holiday farm setting is one of the book's biggest strengths. The festive atmosphere, quirky townspeople, and sense of community make Lovelight Farms feel like a place you'd want to visit yourself. It's filled with warmth, humor, and plenty of moments that will leave you smiling.

This book gets an A+ for being Gothic and dark and fantasy All at once ! One of my favorite types of books are Gothic and this book did not disappoint. You could feel the darkness prevail, every chapter. The fact that there was a monster made this whole book even better. It’s always fascinating when someone wakes up and suddenly they find themselves in a new place and they don’t know anyone around them so this book definitely had a very curious hook to draw me in and it was written in such a way that it wasn’t exactly prose

This book pulled me in right away. The Bride Who Forgot the Monster has that dark gothic romance feel I love, with mystery, tension, and a haunting atmosphere from the very beginning. The cover alone is stunning and perfectly matches the mood of the story. I really enjoyed the mix of romance, suspense, and fantasy elements. It felt dramatic, emotional, and a little eerie in the best way. The characters had great chemistry, and the “forgotten monster” concept made me want to keep turning the pages to find out what happened next.

This is a story about a little boy whose favorite food is tacos, and he also meets a Dragon who has the same favorite food! The fill a dump truck, a boat, a giant ship, and a stadium. There really aren’t many different pictures. This book has only 5 pictures in total within the 30+ page book. It uses the same picture for about 6-7 pages each and then switches to the next image. That is the big downside of this book. My children would’ve been more intrigued with different pictures on each page.

I could not get enough of this book so I read it twice. The story is one every parent can understand, the loss of a child. The out of reach child that burns in a parents soul and heart. Ben Arashi is that parent. Tragedy struck Ben’s family leaving him a journey and mission he never saw coming. Ben transforms on his journey as many of us have into something stronger, calmer, determined.

The Unforgotten Son: Rise of the Guardian pulls you in from the very first chapter with a story driven by grief, purpose, and redemption. Ren Arashi is a compelling protagonist whose journey from a broken father to a powerful guardian is emotionally engaging and full of memorable action. The world blends martial arts, mythology, spiritual cultivation, and fantasy in a way that feels ambitious and cinematic. I especially enjoyed the themes of sacrifice, protecting the innocent, and the mystery surrounding Ethan’s fate, which kept me wanting to read more.
